Dan Maguire
Head of School
Mr. Maguire began his career in education as a Teach for America corps member in the School District of Philadelphia, teaching 7th grade English and social studies in south Philly. After two years, he transitioned to Uncommon Schools in Brooklyn, New York, where he recruited teachers for high-performing schools and then taught 7th grade English for four years. He moved to Los Angeles with his family in 2016 and worked for KIPP SoCal public schools as a teacher and leader, eventually serving as an Assistant Principal of KIPP Sol, a 500 student middle school in East Los Angeles that earned a California Distinguished School Award for its high academic results in both math and English. Through these experiences in high-performing organizations, Mr. Maguire learned how to build a high achieving academic culture while also prioritizing socio-emotional well-being of all members of the school community. Mr. Maguire earned B.A. in Government from the College of William and Mary and an M.S. in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
